Bishopswood Environmental Education Centre
A nationally and internationally recognised centre involved in environmental and sustainability education with schools. The centre also runs a variety of training courses. See website for details. Bodenham Arboretum Set in 156 acres of countryside on the outskirts of Kidderminster, Bodenham Arboretum is home to more than 2700 trees. There are also 11 pools and 4 miles or trails and a visitor's centre. Bewdley Museum Located in the picturesque river side Georgian town of Bewdley, the museum illustrates the growth and trades of the town as well as the crafts of the surrounding Wyre Forest area through fascinating indoor and outdoor displays. Geology of the Forest of Dean Extract from the book The mines of the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas by Tony Oldham. Ludlow Museum Contains the John Norton Gallery and a presentation of the internationally famous geology of the Ludlow area. Also houses displays on human occupation in the area. Malvern Outdoor Education Centre An outdoor activities centre owned and operated by Worcestershire County Council. Severn Valley Country Park Located between the of Highly and Alveley in the Shropshire countryside, this park covers 180 acres of woodland, meadows and wetland. Large areas of the park were reclaimed following cessation of coal mining operations in the area in 1969. The University of the Third Age A "a self-help organisation for people no longer in full time employment providing educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment."
